The Operations Manager will lead of team of operations executives and will be responsible for running day to day operations. As senior member of the team, the candidate should be able to make sound judgement and advise the seniors to run the bank operations smoothly without any errors and enable business progress. He/she will be responsible for continuous monitoring to maintain processes’ accuracy and readiness to be able to accommodate new products launch.
WORK RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for monitoring and continuous improvement of the operation activities to keep and improve its accuracy and readiness as well as per fact based analysis
Ability to run fund based facilities, clearing function, cash management, fixed deposits, RTGS/NEFT, reconciliation activities, overseas remittance
Understanding of KYC documentation, current accounts, foreign remittances would be preferred
Improving and maintaining controlled environment (e.g. necessary control activities according to RBI guidelines, along with process flows implemented, appropriate control tools in place
Ability to draft/review the operational manuals and convince the seniors on changes/reviews.
To manage the Vault and cash balance, ATM & Debit cards handling in the Branch for the customers
Adept at handling term loans, WCDL, mortgage loans, documentation,
Deciphering applicable compliance controls to be maintained as per the RBI guidelines
Coaching and mentoring the juniors in the team and plan with HR on their skill monitoring and performance management. Recommending training programs for the team
To take care of all kinds of audit i.e. Statutory / RBI / HO related and timely submission of reports
Managing stakeholder communication across multiple lines of business on operational milestones, process changes, escalations
DESIRED SKILLS
10-15 years of work experience (in banking) with min 5 years’ experience in team handling role
Ability to influence and negotiate with the Management
Detailed oriented, customer oriented, problem solver
Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
Ability to prioritize, customer focus, quick TAT and time management
Coaching and mentoring ability
Education background – Graduation (min)
Preferred – Post Graduation & RBI recognized certifications
