Presales Cloud Solution Architect Permanent
Key Purpose of the Job
The Cloud Solutions Architect (CSG) is responsible for technically partnering with the sales team in the pre-sales process. This includes understanding the technical IT requirements of prospective partners / end customers and designing system architecture for appropriate cloud-based solutions. The role holder is responsible for presenting and selling the solutions to the customers, carrying out Proof of Concepts (POC) / product demonstrations and preparing BOM & costing estimates. The role holder provides technical training to, inside sales and product teams. The role holder also provides technical inputs and support to the managed services team for post-sales migration / implementation activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for understanding the technical IT requirements of prospective partners /end customers in detail, for design of appropriate cloud-based solution.
- Be responsible for presenting / selling the solution to customers, including providing technical clarifications, drafting first level of proposal, completion of POC, product demonstrations, BOM and cost estimates preparation.
- Provide technical support and training to partners, sales, and product teams, including inputs and support for post-sales migration and implementation activities.
Key Requirement
- Engineering graduate in CS / IT / EEE / ECE (or) Postgraduate in Computer Science.
- Experience of around 8 to 12 years in IT domain with relevant experience of 4+ years as a tech pre- sales/Solution Architect for cloud-based product offerings (or) Equivalent experience in technical consulting / technical support / systems engineering for networking / server / storage
/ software /security products. - Hands on experience in designing architecture for the relevant products (for example, networking, software).
- Good knowledge of cloud technology & eco system (for example, IaaS, SaaS, PaaS).
- Hyperscaler certified Solution Architects are preferred.
- Good problem-solving skills, communication skills and customer orientation.
- Previous experience in a customer facing role(preferred).
- In depth knowledge of key Cloud Services.
- Proven experience assessing clients workloads and technology landscape for Cloud suitability, develop business case and Cloud adoption roadmap
- Proven knowledge of hyperscaler platform and tools
- Experience in working RFP's Proposals and Solutions
- Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive project from architecture standpoint
- Knowledge of best practices and market trends pertaining to Cloud and overall industry to provide thought leadership (seminars, whitepapers etc.,) and mentor team to build necessary competency
- Ability to quickly establish credibility and trustworthiness with key stakeholders in client organization.
- Experience to build scalable production systems (load balancers, memcached, master/slave architectures)
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Certification on any of the Hyerscaler architecture desirable.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Study existing technology landscape and understand current application workloads.
- Provides solutions to meet client requirements and can adapt to new requirements.
- Understand and document technical requirements from clients, exp in building solutions & RFP's Define Migration strategy to move application to cloud.
- Develop architecture blueprints and detailed documentation. Create bill of materials, including required Cloud Services and tools.
- Design the overall Virtual Private Cloud VPC environment including server instance, storage instances, subnets, availability zones, etc.
- Design the Hyperscaler network architecture including VPN connectivity between regions and subnets Design the HA / DR strategies.
- Execute migration plan.
- Leverage appropriate hyperscaler services.
- Validate the environment to meets all security and compliance control.
- Set up process, services and tools around cloud Oversee build of the environment.
