We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Zeta Global Platform Specialist / Email & Marketing Automation Developer to join our team. This role requires deep hands-on expertise with the Zeta Global platform and strong technical knowledge of building, testing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex email and omnichannel campaigns. The ideal candidate will be an expert in campaign automation, segmentation, template development, rendering optimization, and client-side email compatibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Zeta Platform & Campaign Development
Design, build, configure, and optimize campaigns within the Zeta Global platform
Develop and manage multi-step automated journeys, triggered campaigns, and event-based workflows
Create and maintain dynamic, personalized, and modular email templates using HTML, CSS, and Zeta’s scripting/personalization capabilities
Support campaign setup for transactional, promotional, lifecycle, and re-engagement communications
Segmentation & Data Management
Build and maintain complex audience segments, including suppression rules and advanced data logic
Work with customer data across platforms and ensure accurate mapping, validation, and usage in campaigns
Debug data inconsistencies and personalize content based on customer attributes and behaviors
Rendering & Testing
Perform comprehensive email render testing using Litmus and Email on Acid
Identify and resolve rendering issues across major email clients and devices:
Outlook (Windows & Mac)
Gmail (Web, iOS, Android)
Apple Mail, Yahoo, Samsung Mail, etc.
Fix layout, spacing, font, image, and CTA/button issues across platforms
Resolve light mode and dark mode rendering challenges, ensuring optimal visibility and design consistency
Optimization & Performance
Conduct A/B and multivariate testing to improve open rates, CTR, and overall engagement
Apply strong understanding of email deliverability best practices, including SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and list hygiene
Monitor and analyze campaign performance; provide actionable insights and continuous improvement recommendations
Integrations & Technical Support
Work with APIs, JSON, and webhooks for CRM, CDP, and eCommerce integrations
Troubleshoot campaign failures, broken logic, incorrect data pulls, and address system-related errors
Maintain documentation for templates, automations, and processes
Required Skills & Qualifications
8–10 years of hands-on experience in Email Marketing / Marketing Automation / CRM platforms
Strong expertise in Zeta Global platform
Advanced skills in HTML and CSS specific to email template development
Hands-on experience with Litmus and Email on Acid
Deep knowledge of:
Email client rendering limitations
Table-based layouts
Inline CSS techniques
Mobile-first and responsive design for email
Light and Dark Mode handling
Solid understanding of campaign automation, segmentation logic, and journey orchestration
Experience with testing methodologies, QA practices, and data validation
Familiarity with email deliverability standards and compliance requirements (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc.)
Experience integrating marketing platforms with CRM and eCommerce applications
